We are the University of Sydney’s Japanese Cultural Society. Created all the way back in 2002, our vision is to strive to promote Japanese language and culture by bringing together people with an interest in all things Japanese. You do not have to be Japanese or even know how to speak Japanese to join. Everyone is welcome!
What We Do
During the semester, WASABI holds a variety of language events catered to learners of all levels, ranging from engaging conversation sessions to insightful presentations on Japanese culture.
We hold events every week of the uni semester, including our weekly Snacks and Chill, food events throughout the semester and our end-of-sem Izakaya. Check out our Facebook page for more information.
WASABI is part of JAC (Japanese Associations Combined) and have many exciting events to offer with UNSW's NSA and UTS' JASS. Highlights include our annual JAC camp, Halloween Party and Undoukai.
